~Thinking Of My Mother~

We worked in the garden this weekend and
I couldn't pass up picking these beautiful roses from the garden.
I love how they look on this vintage tablecloth my mother gave me.
Thinking of my mother,
she loved roses.

~Harvesting Artichokes In The Garden and Simple & Sweet Fridays #112~

Our artichokes this week were ready to be harvested.
We were excited to see so many artichokes this year.
They need lots of space to grow.
But it's worth it
because they're so good!
They are such a pretty green color next to our blue borage.
I wanted to share with you some other
flowers blooming in our the garden now.
~Foxgloves~

~Larkspur~
~Borage~
~Roses~

I ended up looking online for a recipe for stuffed artichokes.
There are so many of them and I'm sure they are all very good.
I used a James Beard's recipe and changed a couple of things.
They were delicious!
I had bought some fresh raspberries from the Farmers Market.
I love raspberries so I made a Raspberry Crostata.
The artichokes, quinoa and salmon.
Perfect meal to end a day of gardening!
Stan is changing out the design of our raised beds
to make them a little higher .
I'll share with you soon the finished look.

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter with family and friends!
Now, let's see what's been inspiring you this week!

~Making Your Dream Garden~

Making a dream garden is having everything you love.
From flowers to vegetables.
Color is number # 1 for most everyone.
I love the look of a cottage garden.
Right now, I'm putting my Easter decorations away and then I'll be
concentrating on the outside garden and what I should plant now.
All the vegetables; like tomatoes, squashes, pumpkins, eggplants, and herbs are being sold in the nurseries.
I love this time of year.
Planting new plants and watching them grow!
Spring is here!!

~Easter Tablescape and Simple & Sweet Fridays #111~

I wanted to share with you our Easter Tablescape this year.
Lots of great finds!
Home Goods was my big shopping spree.
I showed you the Rabbit Tea Towels I made on an earlier post.
The Graphics Fairy shows you all kinds of easy projects.

~Paper Rosettes~
I love my new pillows from Marshalls.
They have ruffles just like the runner
 I found at Home Goods.
I always love displaying my glass candlesticks from Anthropologie.
The Easter table was full of color this year.
The crocheted eggs I found at Pier 1,
they look whimsical hanging from the chandelier.
Of course, I had to get out my vintage silverware
 for the place settings.
Cute black and white plates I found at Home Goods.
Desserts displayed on our antique buffet.
A view from upstairs tells you
Easter is here!
We wish you all a
 Happy Easter!!

Now, lets see all your wonderful projects you've been working on!!
