Paris Basket

I wanted to paint a brown basket
today and give it a French Flair.

I painted it with a pink color (Behr Ultra paint and primer) that was on the discounted
rack at Home Depot. Couldn't read the name.
I stamped it once with my
alphabet stamps and black ink.
I had to fill the letters in because of the pattern on the basket. I used a black acrylic paint.
This is the area before.
Love my antiques.
The old bottle adds that French Market look.
The end result is exactly
what I wanted on my fireplace.

  13. I marvel that you could be daring and just paint a big basket like that. I would not have the courage. I admire your pluck and the fact that you made it into something so very cool. I know, it's only a basket, but I'm like that, afraid to take a chance. It looks so lovely, especially with the lettering and the large bottle beside it. Thanks for stopping by Quirky Vistas and leaving me a nice note, Jody. So sweet.
