~Joie de Vivre-Joy of Life~

I've always loved this French phrase,
~Joie de Vivre~
This French phrase is often used in English to express a cheerful enjoyment of life, an exultation of spirit. It "can be a joy of conversation, joy of eating, joy of anything one might do..."
We shopped at nurseries this weekend
and bought beautiful flowers!
Our garden is another place to go to unwind.
Collecting different shape containers is another love.
Our course, we love the birds that come and visit.

We always love to be surprised by finding nests everywhere!

Our visits from the rabbits make us smile.
 Ladybugs I've heard are Lucky.
One was looking at me today.
Cooking is always a passion that our family loves to do.
Especially, if we grow the vegetables in our garden and
 cook our family recipes.
 The best!!

Family and Friends are definitely a
Joy of Life!!
Our blogger friends are extended families throughout the network!!

What does "Joie de Vivre" mean to you?

  1. Jody,
Joie de Vivre is also one of my favorite French sayings. To me it means living an ordinary life in extraordinary ways... seeing the beauty, creating the beauty of everyday living with special touches and/or stopping to savor a moment in the present.

We would love for you to share this post at our new Monday Social going on right now on my blog. You can also share Pinterest, Instagram, and Facebook photos. How fun is that? A little joie de vivre!

  6. Never knew what it meant, Jody, other than happy!

Oh, these flowers and plants inspire me. We just don't have the growing season you have. I don't feel deprived because we have the most beautiful snow...and snowstorms, and blizzards! Ha!!

The morning doves are precious, They will always come back to your home or near to nest once again. And they mate for life. I love them.

Have a great end of summer, Jodie!

  10. I would say that you pretty much summed up what Joy of Life means to me too! I love my home and decorating it, cooking and baking are a joy, not a chore and having family around is a blessing.
