Our First Dahlia and Simple & Sweet Fridays # 20

Our first Dahlia was spotted behind my bicycle in the garden today.
I remembered I planted some awhile ago and wondered if they were coming up.
I love finding things in the garden that are a surprise.
Such a pretty pink.
A fun day in the garden.
 Another surprise
the rabbit that adopted our garden.

Now on with the Party...

Last weeks Simple & Sweet Features!
Go check out The Charm Of Home's post Cuban-Style Roasted Sweet Potatoes!

Sherry used sweet potatoes and wonderful cuban spices to make this delicious recipe. The lime juice and honey used in it sounds like a perfect summer dish. You have to try it!

Go check out Nifty Thrifty Things's post DIY Cake Stand!

Vanessa found a tart pan at a flea market and with a candleholder made it into a fabulous cake stand. Her creativity will inspire us all to try and make one. Just beautiful!

Go check out Boulevard de L'antique's post Vintage-Style Recycled Tin Can.

Erika used beautiful graphics and colors to create this gorgeous recycled tin can. Her design is so stunning it will have you saving all your old tins. Great way to recycle!

  8. Pretty dahlia, love the color. You know this is my favorite party each week! I go back and look over the past months posts when I have time. I have been so darn busy trying to keep this garden from burning up. Painting a bathroom this week, hope to do a post on it if I ever get done! Chocolate brown and I'm at 4 coats!

  17. Thank you once again for all the time you put into hosting, Jody. I just love that Dahlia. I have never had them until this year and they are surpassing my expectations, but they must be a different variety than yours. Your's is much fuller with longer, thinner petals. Love the color!
