~New Hydrangea Wreath and Simple & Sweet Fridays #72~

I just love hydrangeas.
I have never seen so many different varieties as this year.
I thought it was time for me to make a wreath with some blooms.
I know some will last and some won't, but that's ok.
I just wanted to look at them all in a big circle.
So pretty!
The blooms are so big and fragile and yet when you hang them together,
they look like they'll last forever.
I will move it in tomorrow but, for now,
I'll enjoy it in the moonlight.
We had a special dinner tonight.
Short ribs, polenta and broccolini.
We were celebrating my mother-in-laws birthday.
She turned 88 years old this year.
Happy Birthday Mary!
You look beautiful!

  10. oh I can't stand it! (you know? I think I say that ALOT on your blog, don't I ?) I ADORE HYDRANGEAS AND THAT BEAUTY IS SO EXQUISITE IT IS ALMOST PAINFUL ...can you understand that? My response to beauty is off the charts and almost too much to bear but I live for it. I wish I could see one, just ONE person in this neighborhood do just ONE of the things you do on a daily basis! I still wait for God to answer my prayers, but if its not soon enough, I may have to pick up and move to a neighborhood somewhere near you! LOLOL Every picture here is music to my heart even your in law with her very impish and obviously very delighted face!

  12. Your wreath is so gorgeous, love the colors. This year must have been a great year for hydrangeas, everyone keeps saying how good theirs did. I hope to plant some in our new home when it is built. I am also a huge polenta fan! I make it often in the cooler months. I also make it creamy and that is out of this world. Have a great weekend!
