I wanted to share with you ideas this week for small bites with pomegranates.
This Fall in San Diego we harvested a lot of pomegranates off our tree.
An easy appetizer is a round of brie cheese served with pomegranates on top.
Sliced cucumber with cream cheese and pomegranates.
Toasted sliced baguette with some raw acacia honeycomb and pomegranates.
Pita bread toasted and sliced into wedges and topped with ricotta cheese, arugula, dried cranberries, grated lemon peel and pomegranates.
I couldn't resist making a salad with roasted delicata squash, arugula, pine nuts, lemon vinaigrette and pomegranates.
Endive leaves served with creamy Laughing Cow cheese and pomegranates.
This is a photo of our pomegranate tree.
I love their little crowns!!
I chilled some glasses and put sugar on the rims.
Just the right time for a pomegranate martini!
Pomegranates are both pretty to look at and very useful in cooking, adding quite a dash to any food. We rarely see them for sale here and I doubt I have seen a tree. What fun to have one in your garden.

Happy Fall!
Thanks for the feature and the party Jody. I'm afraid of Pomegranates, they look too messy. I'm afraid the seeds would go everywhere. They are beautiful to look at decorate with the whole fruit.

I would love a pomegranate tree, what an amazing fruit. Far too cold where I live. I am having problems putting your button onto my page. It is saying that the coding is not correct. I tried both your buttons but neither work. Any tips or hints to help?
ReplyDeleteThank you for letting me know about my buttons. I have added them to the left hand side.
DeleteJody, those pomegranate foods look great! My mom loves pomegranates so my grandma used to always bring her one for her birthday. How lucky you are to have a pomegranate tree. Thank you for the party!
