~Queen Anne's Lace and Simple & Sweet Fridays #217~

I love growing Queen Anne's Lace
in the garden.
I press the flowers to use on presents or just in a pretty bouquet.
I went out into the garden to pick some artichokes for dinner
and saw our Queen Anne's Lace in bloom.

Drying them in between paper with something heavy on top,
will press them down.
They look so pretty and delicate.
Little clusters of white on their stems.

One of my favorites in the garden!!
We had some pizzelle cookies for dessert.
They remind me of Queen Anne's Lace.

  10. Queen Ann's lace is pretty and delicate. Do you actually "plant" it though? It just grows wild along the ditches and fields here. (Canada) It's also known as wild carrot. If you pull it out of the ground, the root has a carrot scent to it.

  18. Queen Anne's Lace is so lovely, and yet in some places it is considered a noxious weed. I don't get that at all. I can think of many other things (and people) that are actually noxious. Ha! Have a wonderful weekend.

  19. I adore queen annes lace! adore adore adore! I tried to grow it last year from seed and it came up a bit spindly. I remember when living in New York driving through the highways I'd stop and pick them wild! and they were huge and beautiful! People thoughts I was nut picking weeds to take home lolol....I also picked chicory and many other beauties on the roadsides and had gorgeous bouquets. Lovely post.
