I have been wanting to find
some ice skates to display for the holidays.
This week I was lucky to find a pair at
a thrift store in San Diego.
There's something magical about having
them at Christmas time.
When I was younger I took ice skating lessons,
but through the years, the skates I had,
were probably given away.
They bring back so many wonderful memories.
So when I spotted these,
I knew I had to have them.
December is such a special month.
Fun times with family and friends.
Beautiful decoration. Love skates too. Mine is hanging on the front door.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day

Hello Jody and Stan... love your ice skates for Christmas!... I found an old pair from the 40's that I am putting out today... sooo fun!... thanks for your visit today as well... I just left you feeback for my ring on Etsy... I'm so sorry, I thought I had already done that... LOVE my ring, it has not come off my finger!... xoxo Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteI'm loving all the skates that are being shown lately. Your wreath with the skates and the sparkly message is perfect.
ReplyDeleteI love your new ( old skates ) something so whimsical at Christmas. Your display just sparkles which makes your arrangement even more magical. Not sure if you have snow yet but I'm keeping my fingers crossed, a frozen pond to skate on would be wonderful this coming season.
ReplyDeleteLots of hugs

The skates look great. I love them at Christmas too.
ReplyDeleteI love how you have displayed the skates. The little bell and pom pom wreath is adorable.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty Christmas display. I love your ice skates! I, too, found a pair thrifting. They're a reminder of cooler temperatures and snow on the rooftops. I know you are in SD and hope you can pretend it's snowing outside. When I lived in Hawaii on Christmas Day I always closed all my curtains, turned the A/C on high and stayed in my flannel nightgown all day.
ReplyDeleteSmiles and thanks for your visit, Jody.

ReplyDeleteI love your ice skates in teh greenery and the little puff ball and jingle bell wreath! I have my skates from childhood and since they don't fit my feet any more, I'm going to use them for decoration this year! Have fun with your holiday preparations! Hugs, Leena
