I decided to have a simple day relaxing. Stan and I have been working on another project in the garden, which I'll show you in the future. So, it was time to watch the football games and unwind.
I had a heart wreath and some red woven ticking fabric.
I just started playing with it.
I'm so glad I had some material left over from another project.
A bow here and there,
and maybe a french knot?
A simple wreath project.
A girl's gotta eat, right?
I had two eggplants, breadcrumbs and eggs.
Eggplant Parmesan was the answer.
The hyacinth bulbs are blooming now and smell so good.
Simple Days Are The Best!
I think I have a heart wreathe in the garage and I know I have some red ticking. So fun.
ReplyDeleteAll my faves right here! Hearts, hyacinths, and eggplant parm! Lovely day. xo

ReplyDeleteHi Jody,
ReplyDeleteWe're still waiting for little grandbaby to arrive. He is overdue but as of this morning things seem to have begun to progress. PTL! Hoefully, it will be soon.
Your post is perfect. I love red and white ticking and it has created the sweetest Valentine's wreath. Darling and so simple, too.
Your eggplant looks scrumptious. With these San Diego sunny days I can see why you have so many wonderful things growing in your garden. How I love the sweet smell of hyacinths! Yours are so pretty.
Thank you for stopping by and for your weekly blog party. It is such a pleasure knowing you!
Blessings,

What a lovely day! Those are the kind of days I love :-) Your hyacinths are doing so well! I swear I can smell them through my monitor :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Jody,
ReplyDeleteI agree simple days are the best and loved seeing what you are up to.
The heart is lovely and your hyacinths the perfect flowers for putting a smile on your face.
The eggplant parmesan looks delicious.
happy new week
hugs
Carolyn
Your heart wreath is beautiful! I've been thinking about making one myself. The ones that you find premade are always so expensive and don't look too difficult to make.
ReplyDeleteThats a very pretty idea. It's so refreshing isn't it to change things around after all that Christmas bling. Your hyacinths are beautiful too.
ReplyDeleteJody,
ReplyDeleteLot's of sweet, yummy and fragrant inspiration here today!
Simply wonderful!

New follower from All Star Blog Party. Your eggplant looks so yummy. Think it would be a good healthy one to try!!! Also love the heart shape wreath. Have a good week. :)
ReplyDeleteYour wreath is so pretty. I love red ticking - it's the prefect fabric and looks amazing on your grapevine wreath.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet idea for a Valentines wreath. Every year I say I'm going to make myself one and never do. I can smell the hyacinths from here!
ReplyDeleteThat is just right down my alley sweet and simple! What a wonderful project for Valentine's Day! I love red ticking anyway, so that closeup shot of the ripped strips is just lovely. I will pin it to my REDS board!! THank you so much for sharing such a sweet project with us for Pearls and Lace Thursday!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Doni
Well I'll be. I can't pin tonight. I have a stone-age computer, so I'm surprised I can even post or comment! I'll try again later. That is a wonderful photo!! LOVE your post!!
