Our artichokes this week were ready to be harvested.
We were excited to see so many artichokes this year.
They need lots of space to grow.
But it's worth it
because they're so good!
They are such a pretty green color next to our blue borage.
I wanted to share with you some other
flowers blooming in our the garden now.
~Foxgloves~
~Larkspur~
~Borage~
~Roses~
I ended up looking online for a recipe for stuffed artichokes.
There are so many of them and I'm sure they are all very good.
I used a James Beard's recipe and changed a couple of things.
They were delicious!
I had bought some fresh raspberries from the Farmers Market.
I love raspberries so I made a Raspberry Crostata.
The artichokes, quinoa and salmon.
Perfect meal to end a day of gardening!
Stan is changing out the design of our raised beds
to make them a little higher .
I'll share with you soon the finished look.
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter with family and friends!
Now, let's see what's been inspiring you this week!

Your garden is looking gorgeous! Yes, artichokes do take up some real-estate, but they are a very cool looking plant. The pretty pale pink rose is so pretty! I'm going to try some borage this year. When the Farmers Market starts up next month a vendor from Bandon brings in the most beautiful plants...you have to be early she sells out fast. Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post! I'm so envious of your artichoke bush.
ReplyDeleteGrowing your own artichokes…….how amazing! They are gorgeous!

Jody and Stan, you have such a spectacular garden I love visiting. I only ever made artichokes once and thought I had to remove all the petals to get to the heart, but when I did there was nothing left :) Looking at yours it's made me want to try again. I can't grow them though because of lack of space.
ReplyDeleteI am so envious of your gorgeous flowers. Our puppy is finally starting to leave my flowers alone so maybe I will be able to plant flowers soon.
