I wanted to share with you our Gingerbread Tablescape for Christmas this year.
It was a lot of fun creating it.
The girls helped me make the gingerbread houses for the village.
I found a kit at Walmart and they decorated each one.
They turned out so cute!
I placed them in cloches to display them as the centerpiece for the table. I added snow to create a winter scene.
I wanted to separate the tablecloth from the centerpiece
so I used some wrapping paper from the dollar store.
I used different size cloches to give the
table height in the center.
Lights and candles everywhere.
I used my clear etched glasses from Anthropologie.
I stamped name tags, added candy and cookies to the display.
Vintage ornaments and glittered pine cones
placed in glass dishes.
A fun way to decorate a table for the Christmas holiday!
Our mirror above the mantle is decorated with new star lights.
You can never have enough lights for Christmas.
I had a dog ornament that Justin added Maggie's face to.
Too cute!!
Snowmen and trees added to the winter mantle.
I love my new boxwood wreaths on my vintage windows.
I can't believe Christmas in next week, where has the year gone.
I still have a lot of shopping to do.
The Christmas tree is decorated and
I've been cooking up a storm.
I'll share more photos soon!
Can't wait to see all your creativity this week!!

ReplyDeleteDear Jody and Stan, and Clan,
ReplyDeleteYou always have such beautiful inspiration all through the year in your home. But, as Christmas is my favourite time of year, with Santas and snowmen and other merry folks visiting our homes, things are always jolly and fun. I see your visitors are enjoying their stay with you, for you have made them feel so at home, with your snowy, stalkings mantel, cute as a button gingerbread houses, and magical glow of lights! Everything is playful and pretty and sweet!

ReplyDeleteJody,
ReplyDeleteThe gingerbread houses are so darling, kudos to your daughters for their time and creativity (in my case it would just be wonderful to see mine getting along for an hour or so!). You stamped your name on this tradition using the cloches. Your table is gorgeous!! I love the idea of using the wrapping paper. I am always stealing your ideas. I found rock salt at Target yesterday and I'm pulling out those Mason jars today! :)
Linking up to your party a little late, Pinned the recipe for the holly cookies from last week...this weekend will be baking time!
Merry Christmas to you, Stan and your whole family!
