It has been one year today that I have been blogging
and I have loved every minute of it.
Meeting new friends and learning new things.
Looking forward to more dreams to come.
Thanks Carly and Justin for making it happen. Love you~
I went to a garage sale
and found some wonderful treasures.
I spent only $50 for all these incredible antiques.
I didn't know that Valley Farm's named an ice cream after Bing Crosby in 1953.
Found this old measuring bottle.
I added this old iron to my collection.
A 1920 label for
Betty Ann Baking Powder.
An old Lemon Flavoring Bottle
My favorite find an old Way Rite Scale...
I love the color.
Love the old label.
Spicy Apple Waffle Recipe,
sounds good!
Shasta Water Seltzer Bottle
The Uniform Nut Meat Chopper
It dates back to 1940-1950
Can't wait to find a special
spot for all my new treasures.
Whenever I would see my mom
on Saturdays, we would
go to garage sales together.
It was the thrill of the hunt.
Miss you mom...
Love all your finds especially the scale:)) It sounds like your Mom would love it all too~ Congrats on one year!!

I LOVE all of your treasures! What fantastic finds!! I can understand your last comment about your Mom. My Mom went to yard sales and estate sales with me also . It will be 8 years on the 29th that she passed away and I miss my Mom too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit and sweet comment. I signed up to follow both of your blogs and thank you for the invite to join your party.

ReplyDeleteWhat FABULOUS treasures and in such great shape! I'm sorry that you're missing your mom now. You are blessed to have such wonderful memories of spending time with her.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finds! Like everyone else I'm eyeing that scale :)
ReplyDeleteI have to wonder what purpose a "nut meat chopper" had in the kitchen!
Just think, we'd be hoarders if we kept all of the same stuff now, but it's so fun to find that kind of stuff when you're thrifting and hitting yard sales.
Take care,
Claire @ alittlesomethinginthemeantime.blogspot.com
The nut meat chopper, at least in my mother's kitchen, took whole walnuts and chopped them up to use in recipes, like chocolate chip cookies, brownies, etc. Mom's had red painting with a pretty border of something I don't remember specifically, and the front panel pulled up. I think from time to time of how I'd love to have this or another item from her home, but my sister got rid of everything :-(.
DeleteOh that scale! You made some delightful finds. So good to be reminded of our loved ones that have past on. Gone, but certainly not forgotten; you've reminded me of my own sweet momma today!

Such great finds!! LOVE the colour of your scale. Mine is green and I'm so almost going to try to paint it. Must check out more of your posts when I get a moment! :)
ReplyDeleteThat vintage scale couldn't be more perfect! Love that color! Great treasures.

My scale is boring black, but it is old and it is functional as well as decorative. We hit a couple tag sales yesterday too, but no antiques we wanted and had space for. One sale had a lot of antiques, but not things we could use/display. We got more practical, useful things yesterday. You were the lucky shopper!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds! Thank you for joining me at Home Sweet Home!
