We had beautiful weather this last weekend in San Diego.
We turned on all the lights outside.
Our daughter, Katie's boyfriend, Harry,
from Northamptonshire, England had just arrived.
It was his birthday and we wanted to have a special dinner.
We made a watermelon salad with feta and mint.
Katie marinated broccoli and grilled it.
Grilled chicken with butter lettuce and black wild rice.
I made an Asparagus Cheese Tart.
It was a delicious dinner.
Katie made a surprise Oreo Cake.
It was a fun night!
The next day we made fresh fruit popsicles.
They were so good and refreshing while sitting in the sun.
Maggie loved them too!!
It was a wonderful birthday weekend!

Hi Jody,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for coming by and following The Marmelade Gypsy! (I'm returning the favor and will look forward to each new post!) Your blog is so beautiful -- I confess -- if I lived closer to San Diego, I might just have to invite myself to dinner on your lovely porch! You're safe -- I'm in Michigan -- but oh! It looks divine -- both the setting and the food.
