~Rose Bath Salts and Simple & Sweet Fridays #152~

I decided to make some homemade bath salts.
There's nothing as pretty as roses floating in your bathtub.
After working all day,
everyone needs a little pampering.
All you need is some epsom salts and
a glass container to put them in.
Tie some jute around it with some fresh rosemary.
It not only looks pretty,
it's a great stress reliever too!
Don't forget your feet need a little extra pampering too!!
I wanted to share with you an amaryllis that is blooming in our garden.
This one is called "Papilio".
So beautiful!!

~Vintage Roses and Simple & Sweet Fridays #151~

I received a beautiful Vintage sign for
 Christmas from Carly's boyfriend, Justin.
I thought I'd create a vignette
using some of our roses from our garden.
I used my mother's antique silver pieces.
Added some pearls.
I had a beaded runner to add some shimmer.
Everything looked like it was meant to be in a vignette.
The two bigger pieces of silver are
a pitcher and a ice bucket.
The creamer and sugar piece were perfect with some jewelry.
I love how the roses compliment the silver.
So pretty!
I took out my sketchbook and watercolored the photo.
Not bad for a beginner.
I took some photos of the last of our blooms in the garden
 before I cut them back.
I'm always amazed how beautiful roses are.
Love to admire them in any vignette!

How was your week?
Let's see all the beautiful things you've been working on.

~Drying Flowers For Spring~

Drying flowers for Spring is one of my favorite things to do.
Since I had to cut back my roses for Spring,
I decided to pick the roses and flowers that were blooming.
I always love using them for different projects for the Spring.
I found the perfect drying rack at the thrift store.

So easy to tie them up with some jute.
I wonder what ideas I'll find on Pinterest.
Looking forward to more flowers in the garden in Spring.
