~Today was a beautiful Autumn day in the garden~
There is some rain expected in San Diego tomorrow,
so I wanted to garden while the weather was perfect.
I love this stepping stone.
My angels are always watching over the garden.
Our cabbages are doing so well and
we still have pumpkins growing in November.
Roses in bloom.
A little color everywhere.
Succulents are always so easy to grow.
My sweet peas and scarlet flax that I started by seed.
Next weekend I'll plant them.
I just love walking through the garden in the morning
with a cup of coffee to see what is growing.
I put some white pumpkins outside,
they're so pretty lined up in a row.
On the other table,
I had orange pumpkins.
We were so lucky to have
so many grow in the garden this year.
I just love gardening.
There's never enough time to do everything I love to do.
But, today I made time to watercolor.
And yes, a stop at Trader Joe's
for their new Pumpkin Cheesecake.
With a chocolate covered strawberry it was a perfect end to a perfect day!
I simply LOVE your garden. I was out in my garden early also. Everything is stunning - love how you have veggies mixed in with the flowers. No rain for up in Orange County, maybe sprinkles. Do you cover all your tables, bench, etc? Stop by and see my roses that I posted today.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week.

Love pumpkin cheesecake. My sweet peas haven't come up and I've planted them twice. I think the seed may have been bad. Love all the prettiness in your garden. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI would find the same contentment wandering in your garden...I have it just from the pictures. I just noticed you live in San Diego. My son went to school in Carlsbad for two years and we so enjoyed our visits. It seemed that the air was perfumed with the blooming trees and bushes, I was in heaven!
ReplyDeleteI think your watercolors are wonderful. A book in the plans maybe?!
XO,
Jane
Those cabbages,be still my heart..oh to garden all yr long..
ReplyDeleteYour art is lovely:-)
I am so envious of your weather this time of year! We had a big wind storm yesterday and the leaves are now all gone.
ReplyDeleteThe only blooms that remain are the mums and the kale.
Jody, your watercolors are brilliant!

Oh Jody,
ReplyDeleteI never can get enough of that pretty garden of yours. Just gorgeous. The watercolors are fantastic.
Kris
Beautiful garden photos!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day, RW & SK
Oh, my!
ReplyDeleteI am so envious of your garden. I wanted mine to look like yours by now, but getting a new puppy who loves to dig put the kabosh on my garden. I planted pansies today and worked in my daughter's garden. I think hers has a better chance of looking like yours because she doesn't have a dog digging it up.
So beautiful and you can paint too! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteLovely, simply lovely.
ReplyDeleteYou are a lucky girl to live in a place where you can still garden, this late into the season.
We have one Trader Joes in Utah, and it is quite a trip for us to go there, but you've tempted me to make the trip; just to get some of that yummy looking pumpkin cheesecake.
Enjoy this wonderful week :)
Your garden is amazing! We've already had several autumn storm here, so the garden is in pretty bad shape.
ReplyDeleteI love that you have a pumkin plate to eat your pumpkin cheese cake!
Your garden is still beautiful! Our trees are just now turning beautiful colors and at the first big wind, all of the leaves will be gone! That pumpkin cheesecake looks divine!

ReplyDeleteYour garden is beautiful in every season and I love your teeny watercolours. Super envious of that pumpkin cheesecake on your plate... yum!! Want to trade for our 14" of snow we got Saturday night??
ReplyDeleteIt was a pleasure taking a stroll through your lovely garden. Your photo are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSave me some of that cheesecake!
Hugs,
Patti

ReplyDeleteYour blooms are simply lovely!! I'd love to have a space of my own for a small flower garden area. I have one rose that is holding out, but so pretty.
