~Looking Forward To Spring~

Roses in bloom always make me feel happy.
I know in California we are so lucky
to have the sun shining bright in March.
So many plants are telling us that
 Spring is here.
I wish I could send some of our
sunny days back East.
To all our blogging friends
ready for their snow to melt.
I am looking forward to all their beautiful photos.
Of their gardens,
that they love some much.
It inspires us all to plant
 new flowers.
And to see what will
surprise us this Spring.
All we need is some sunshine.
Some tender watching over new seedlings.
And we will see color everywhere!
Looking forward to seeing all your
beautiful gardens sparkle!

  2. Jody - your plants are just beautiful! Can't wait until ours start blooming. I fear I've lost several plants due to the frigid temps and length of the snow on the ground. But, we'll just have to wait and see.

    Enjoy those beautiful gardens.

  3. Oh Jody, even here in NC things are not blooming like usual. It's still like winter but we have had several days (not in a row) of Spring. I know it will get here soon and I will be complaining about the NC heat ...
    Your photos are beautiful. :)

  4. Can't wait too for more flowers, but I just made a post about my garden, if you want to see the latest....tell me what you think, I'd love to hear it. Am going to work on the Gazebo any day now and will post on it. I need a couple more things like 2 decent chairs.....but I'm making it...{yes, I finally fell for it} "French"......
But please tell me what YOU would do with the bridge?? hugs, lady

  5. Your garden is so full of life, so sparkling, so promising, so fresh. Lucky you.
Although Spring is having an early start here in Belgium, we are not as far as you, yet. Some more week to pass.

Thank god, the weather has been gorgeous the last few days. Today's it is raining after a very long period of Sunshine. (but no complaining because it was necessary for all the new plants I have planted)

    Love,

  6. I am so so so jealous!!! Could you please blow a little of that soft, sweet Spring my way into the Midwest? We still have tons of snow and it is so cold and dreary that I am about ready to run away from home. xo Diana

  8. We are checking every day for the bulbs that are coming up. Until they bloom, I'll be looking at your lovely garden for my flower fix!

  9. I think I'll just buy some plants already potted and put them around. My ground would take a good tilling and then the water washes it all away. My yard won't even grow grass. It would cost a small fortune to get flowers to grow. I'll just look and admire my blogging friend's flowers and gardens.

  10. These pictures are such a joy to see. I'm wondering what the pink blooms are in the second to last photo?

When I saw your step ladder again just now, I ran down to my hubbys workroom...there it is. He also has a metal one so I won't be putting him out! Ha! Thinking about painting it mint green...how fun! :)

    XO,

  11. Jody,
All your flowers brightened my day today. Here in north Texas we are warming...low 80s today, but back into the 60s tomorrow. The winter was so harsh and with the lack of rain some of my favorite daffodils did not bloom this spring. They had buds on them and one of the late freezes that dipped into the teens withered the buds. Maybe next year...

    Inspiring and beautiful pictures.
It's just 26 degrees here in Utah, right now.
It's sunny, and breezy and quite cold ..... looking forward to warmer weather, for certain.

Have a warm, sunny and wonderful day.

  15. Beautiful gardens - I love seeing all your pretty things in your garden. It's like having another couple of rooms, isn't it?
We have really been bless not to have a cold terrible winter, only need rain. Got some plants yesterday to put into my pots to give some color to the patio. Also 4 tomato plants, can hardly wait to have fresh tomatoes.
    Have a terrific weekend.

  16. Jody and Stan,
How lovely are your gardens of California!
How precious of you to share them with us.
Our snow has long been gone here on the Prairie,
but we suffer from brown until our Spring rain's arrive.
I am longing for the days when I can thrill to see my Herb Garden
awaken from its deep Winter sleep and green appears, once again!
    The pink roses are exquisite!!!
    Fondly,
    Pat
