~Spring Blossoms and Simple & Sweet Fridays #106~

One of the things I look forward to in Spring
is all the flowers in bloom in our garden.
Our Bridal Veil is blooming in front of our home right now.
It has the most beautiful white flowers on it.
Stan and I saw some being displayed at a Home & Gardens Show
at Del Mar Fairgrounds in San Diego.
We fell in love with how gorgeous the white blossoms were. We ended up at a local nursery that day and ordered it.
I'm so glad we did.
This year it looks so beautiful.
There's nothing like fresh cut flowers.
Putting together some glass containers for a Spring Vignette.
Displaying some bulbs and colored eggs,
you know Spring is here!
I have a collection of antique wood spindles.
I thought some jute wrapped around
it would give it a natural look for Spring.
Our first Peony just bloom!
So pretty!

So excited to see what you've been working on!
I also want to thank you all for coming every week and sharing your inspirational projects!
You're all so Creative!!

  8. The Bridal Veil is so pretty...I think we probably have to much rain for it here...it would drown the poor blossoms! Those spring vignettes are so adorable!!! Thanks for hosting.

If you check my post, you will see that I used your idea of the small ladder, but brought it into the house.

  15. Jody I love the Bridal Veil shrub. I grew up on a farm with a old Victorian farmhouse. It was my playhouse and storage we didn't live in it. It had a few of these shrubs as a foundation planting. They were beautiful. I so loved them as a child. Yours are so pretty.
    Thanks for hosting.

  27. Hi Jody,

Your garden and gardening always amazes me! Peonies already? How divine! I've just spent 36 hours travelling from Greece to Canada (with an 8 hour delay in Germany!), to be able to take in the heady fragrance of my childhood loves - pink peonies and lilacs - hopefully by the end of May, which is when I depart again for home.

Your bridal veil is delicate and dainty just like the material for which it is named, and your collected trinkets for your spring vignette have just relieved my 3rd day of jet lag - how adorable are those tiny robin's eggs!!

Thanks so much for hosting and have a beautiful weekend|!

  29. Your spirea is spectacular! Mine is just starting to bloom but I don't think it will look as extravagant and glorious as yours...and peonies, I am very envious, they are one plant I have always wanted to grow, but I don't get enough winter chill, especially this year. Love your Spring containers, they are very charming.
