~Love Lavender~

Who doesn't love Lavender!
The scent is so relaxing and fresh,
and
 I love the color purple!
I have placed it,
here and there in the house.
I can't get enough of the smell.

Some new purple Italian appetizer plates,
I found on a shopping day in Little Italy.

A lavender wreath hanging in our entryway!
Just got these pretty lavender edible papers from
Can't wait to make lavender sugar cookies!
I ordered
The Lavender Cookbook
by Sharon Shipley
from Amazon.
There's lots of delicious recipes inside.
Lavender always makes me smile!!

  1. I love lavender too! That wreath is so pretty and so is your water coloring. Have you ever made lavender wands? I did once and I need to again this summer. Have a great week, Jody!

  2. Jody,
Oh, I can't wait to see the lavender cookies you make with those edible printables. I love lavender, too. My sister gave me a new heart-shaped lavender wreath that I've been saving for just the right time to hang in the house. This is the right time... Valentine's.

  3. I have had that Lavender cookbook for years - it's AWESOME!

Have you ever had lavender jelly? It's one of my all=time favorites on scones.

And I made lavender shortbread cookies all the time.

We have a lot of luck growing lavender here in our area, so I love it's organic and safe in which to cook and bake.

    Enjoy your lavender!

    1. Hi Michele, I'll have to try the jelly and shortbread cookies with lavender. Thanks for sharing that with me. That's awesome that you can grow lavender where you live. I've always wanted to go to Provence, France, just because of all the photos with lavender fields. Just beautiful! ♥

    2. Monique, That's too bad about the ordering charge. Sometimes companies do that. You need to move near me and we could shop all day long, LOL!! I love the Valentine's banner too. I love all the things I made for that. Have a wonderful weekend with the family ♥

  10. Beautiful post, Jody, and yes, I love lavender too! It grows easily in our yard, and the birds and bees have graciously made sure that it will grow in random areas. I can't pull up these stray plants, because I feel that Nature had a hand in placing them. I am intrigued about lavender shortbread as Michele mentioned above. And I'd love to see how the decals you bought turned out.

  12. Oh, Jody, I do love lavender so of course I love every bit of this post. I'm hoping against hope that my plants manage over the winter and into our long-awaited spring and summer. Michigan winter can be a bit hard on them. Everything here makes me smile from the lighting to the lavender in the pitcher, your sweet plates and charming watercolor. How lovely!

  13. Beautiful! Your little painting is my favorite part.

I've tried growing lavender and haven't been successful. Someone recently shared a place where you can order big bundles at a reasonable price and hopefully, I saved that. I'd love to have more. :)

  14. Lavender is on of my favorites.. I lost my English lavenders last spring, but still have 6 Arouk Lavenders that managed to survive. The scent just relaxes the soul.
Your home is so beautiful, and the lavender adds such a special touch.

The wreath in the entryway is so charming. Oh, I love coming over here and seeing what's new in your home, Jody. It inspired me so.
