~Enjoying Springtime in the Garden~

A cute pair of shoes with alyssum planted in them.
  A whimsical touch for Springtime!
Even a pair of rain boots,
 tells you it's
 Spring in the garden.
Fresh picked flowers next to a pair of candlesticks.
Our red amaryllis is in full bloom.
I wanted to share with you our roses in the front yard.
~White Iceberg Roses~
When all the roses are in bloom,
 it's quite a beautiful sight.
Over the garage door,
we have a Cecile Brunner Climbing Rose.
Every Spring, we have the same kind of birds
 nesting under the eve.
I love it when they come back every year.
I made a salad of strawberries,
with roasted walnuts, mint and feta cheese.
I found the cutest small plates for appetizers.
We also made Rosemary Bread.
Our son, Scott, gave me some of
 his sourdough starter.
My first attempt at sourdough bread.

It was a beautiful day in the garden today.
As I was walking through the garden,
I noticed some stepping stones.
We made them with our kids years ago.
I'm so happy we dated them.
I can't believe it was 16 years ago.
They've survived all this time in the garden.
~Wonderful Memories~
Gardens are a fun place for the whole family.
I planted extra Kale this year for our chickens.
They surprised Stan today sitting outside his office window.
They are a handful,
but they always make us laugh.
I'm not sure if you heard, but in San Diego
we will be on water rationing soon.
Stan and I are full time gardeners, so we are very concerned.
We are talking about changing out some of our areas and also adding drip where is needed.
Hopefully, we can adjust and make it work.
Hope you're all enjoying your gardens today!!

I wanted to share with you a delicious cookie for a midnight treat!
~A Coconut Macaroon~
The recipe is from the blog,
Taste of Home.
We dipped them in milk chocolate.

Everyone needs a sweet treat once in awhile!
I love my new basket I found for my new house plants.
~Purple Tulips~
Home Depot has some beautiful plants.
After the Easter holiday,
I thought I'd get a little break with my new Victoria magazine.
It always has wonderful photos of things I love!!
