~Surprise Gift For Mother's Day~

Stan surprised me with the most beautiful peony for Mother's Day.
After endless attempts to try and grow them,
he knew I'd be in heaven after seeing this beauty.
When it first blooms it is the palest pink
and a very slight yellow tint to it.
It is the prettiest peach color.
This is why I'm in heaven,
I got the best Mother's Day present.
I wanted to share with you our maderense geranium.
I went to water outside and noticed how beautiful
they are on our hill. Purple Everywhere!
After cutting back our pumpkins,
I realized how they look so whimsical,
 as if they could dance.
What do you think?

  4. The Peony is amazing!

When I was a child, my grandmother had Hollyhocks growing beside the screened back porch. I remember making ballerinas with the blooms. Your pumpkin blossom reminded me of that.

  9. I know nothing about growing peonies. I will have to check into the growing needs to see if my sandy soil will work.
