I decided it was time to give my
dollhouse a little whimsy makeover.
It just needed a little sparkle.
I added some garland and embellishments all around the outside.
It started to take on a Shabby Chic look with a magical touch.
With some ribbon here and there
and the lights on,
made it look new again.
I added a garden on the side with a little gazebo.
I love my new addition, my miniature garden girl.
With her watering can and basket of flowers,
it's just what the garden needed.
I bought the pig at Summers Past Farms,
but made the vegetables and chickens out of clay.
I found these miniature coffee mugs years ago,
when I first made the house.
It adds that special touch with our names on them.
A candlelight dinner waits for the fairies.
The lights on at night look so magical.
I hope the fairies like it...
LOVE the new garden and the precious little garden-girl!!

ReplyDeleteOh MY this is something....!! You know, I've been sort of re-living "playing" lately...last year I got a Calico Critters house for the kids ( Using them as an excuse because I wanted to play ) and this year while there are plenty of construction vehicles etc for the grandson what I am having fun with is 18 inch dolls stuff....seeing your doll house makes me want to do that too, lol! What a gorgeous thing it is and a garden too...this post was so much fun to view !
ReplyDeleteCharming home for your fairies. We're never too old to play : )
ReplyDeleteOh, this is fantastic! I want one!!!

How adorable!@! I think the older we get the more we appreciate something like a doll house...and oh how I'd love to have mine back!! As a child I had a metal one that my sister and I used as a stepstool...sooooo....it was crushed, and therefore didn't make it! BUT, I found one in very aged and used appearance just like it!! My hubby was not impressed, but it will make a comeback some day!!
ReplyDeleteLove your dollhouse and all the detail!! The cups with names! The veggies in the wheelbarrow and the animals! SO CUTE!!
Thank you so much for joining me for my party this week and sharing your pretty dollhouse!!

Doni

ReplyDeleteYou have designed something so incredibly sweet! The petite fairies are so winsome. Your creation belongs in Disneyland...or a fine magazine. It's a winner in every way.
Thank you so much for sharing, my friend.
Smiles,
Carolynn xoxo
