How Does Your Garden Grow?

Our garden is growing so fast now.
The weather in San Diego is just perfect for our vegetables in the raised beds.
I took these photos about 2 months ago,
to show you the difference today.

Justin, Carly's boyfriend, took these updated photos.
The lettuce is as big as it can get.
We have swiss chard and radishes growing next to the lettuce.
Our structures in the raised beds show us how tall the vegetables are getting.

The carrots are just starting to get bigger.
I love getting different lettuces.

The colors are so pretty.
Stan added copper finials on the corners.

~Nutella Meringues and New Finds / Simple & Sweet Fridays~

I saw this recipe on Cecilia's "Atelier Cecilia Rosslee:Cuisine" blog.
I thought it would be easy
 and they looked so delicious.
I had to try making them.
Our daughter, Katie was home last week so we made some.
Katie whipped up the egg whites by hand.
Then she added the nutella.

They looked so pretty lined up.
If you want to impress your dinner guests,
 make these!
I wanted to share this obsession I have,
 about getting things for free.
My neighbor had this chair out in front of his house for the garbage,
and I just couldn't let it go without putting it in our garden.
I paid nothing for it and who knows how long it will last
but I got it for free.
I saw this miniature house at a garage sale for $10.00.
Of course, I had to have it.
I knew I could put it somewhere in the garden.
I painted it with Annie Sloan Duck Egg Chalkboard paint
 for the house
and the trim with Old White.
Stan added a copper roof to it.
We even added solar lights to it.
I hope the fairies like it!

Happy Thursday everyone!

~Thank You Flowers~

I wanted to give flowers to a friend, to thank her for
making us dinner.
I just had knee surgery for a torn meniscus,
so I haven't been able to do too much.
In our garden, the sweet peas are blooming everywhere,
so I thought they would be a nice gift.
I recycled a can and glued some burlap ribbon to it.
I used my sweet pea stamp on some linen,
for the ribbon.
I love fresh cut sweet peas.
They make the house smell so good.
I also picked some alstroemeria.
Our garden has so many flowers that are blooming now.
The weather in San Diego was a perfect 70 degrees today.
I made a thank you card too!
A pretty card to go with the

~Chandeliers & Flowers and Simple & Sweet Fridays #59~

I went to Roger's Gardens this week.
They are located at 2301 San Joaquin Hills Road.
Corona Del Mar, California 92625.
They had so many wonderful displays,
I had to share them with you.
The white orchids and chandeliers were gorgeous.
I like how they use old windows as a display on the wall,
great idea!
A pretty cabinet painted gray is a perfect spot to show off
 white urns and pots.
The chandeliers are everywhere.

They always have a big selection of hydrangeas.

Great idea displaying pots on the wall using different crates.
Such a pretty blue!
Another room has a wonderful collection of cards.
Lots of detail in this European mural.
 Pretty glass sconces.
The statues and detailed urns give it an old world look.
My favorite was this antique desk
displayed with hydrangeas in it.
