I wanted to give flowers to a friend, to thank her for
making us dinner.
I just had knee surgery for a torn meniscus,
so I haven't been able to do too much.
In our garden, the sweet peas are blooming everywhere,
so I thought they would be a nice gift.
I recycled a can and glued some burlap ribbon to it.
I used my sweet pea stamp on some linen,
for the ribbon.
I love fresh cut sweet peas.
They make the house smell so good.
I also picked some alstroemeria.
Our garden has so many flowers that are blooming now.
The weather in San Diego was a perfect 70 degrees today.
I made a thank you card too!
A pretty card to go with the
~Sweet Peas~
So beautiful!! Love your "sweet pea" ribbon and card that you made. Lynda
ReplyDeleteLove this, JOdy!
ReplyDeleteHope you heal up soon...rest!
Heal well..
ReplyDeleteI just love sweet peas..
You can pierce holes on the sides of the can..to slip a ribbon through and hang from a doorknob..
When I worked..for certain clients..I would hang one filled with flowers on their front door for moving in day.
One of my pleasures..
Love the stamp...may I ask where you found it?
Adorable..
Hope your knee mends quickly. I had a torn meniscus repaired in 2009. Love the personalized touch to your gorgeous bouquet, Jody. Makes it more meaningful and heartfelt. xo

Oh my gosh those sweet peas are goooorgeous! They are one of my favourite cut flowers to grow because they give you gorgeous smelling blooms from May to October here. And what a creative way to display them too. I never would have thought of that and it looks simply stunning.

Most times friends do not expect anything in return for their kindness. However, I am sure this one appreciated the lovely flowers you gave them.
