~Simple Winter Mantel & Chocolate Dipped Biscotti~

It's always hard to put everything away from Christmas.
Adding our small boxwood wreaths
on the mantel adds some greenery.

I added some mini lights too!
Fresh cut flowers from the garden .

A very simple Winter mantel.
Since it's been raining in San Diego,
I decided to make some biscotti.
Rachael Ray has a good recipe here:
Some melted chocolate and crushed almonds.
Make a very good Winter treat!
Hope you're all staying warm this winter!

~Biscotti, Stuffed Cabbage & New Garden Patio Project~

I love baking!!
I decided to bake some biscotti.
Here's the recipe
I added some fresh grated lemon,
I love the taste of lemon!!

With a homemade latte,
I'm in Heaven!!
Our family loves stuffed cabbage. My mother-in-law, Mary,
was from Poland. I was thinking of her and all the wonderful memories and thought I'd make some stuffed cabbage for the family. Here is a very good recipe I used

I picked some fresh pears out of the garden.
So delicious, Orient Pears!!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
Stan is working on another garden patio area.
He amazes me so much with his energy and ability to design.
I'm so lucky!!
I'll share with you the finished area soon!

~Cooking with Flowers and Simple & Sweet Fridays #64~

I bought the new cookbook,
"Cooking with Flowers"
by Miche Bacher of Mali B Sweets.
All the recipes looked so good.

I had to make the chocolate and lavender biscotti.
A very easy recipe and they were delicious!
Wrapped them up and gave them to friends.
The next recipe I made was a Borage Spritzer.
Combine 1/2 cup Borage Basil Simple Syrup

1/2 cup Borage Vodka

3 cups Seltzer Water
8 Cucumber Slices
8 Basil Leaves

Borage Ice Cubes

A wonderful refreshing drink for Springtime!

Happy Thursday everyone!
