Christmas Place Cards and Simple & Sweet Fridays #42

I was setting the Christmas table early and came up with this fun idea for a place card.
I used some cupcake liners, magnets,
miniature trees, tags,
wine corks, and a stocking punch.
I glued a magnet on the back of a cork,
I then glued a miniature tree on the top.
Brushed glue all over the cork,
Then added snow.
I glued the stocking on the front of the tag and wrote the person's name,
I  then used another magnet to attach the tag.
Placed it on a cupcake liner.

Just perfect for a Christmas Place Card!
Some more bells for the finishing touch.

A Whimsical Tree and Simple & Sweet Fridays #41

I wanted to have a whimsical Christmas tree in
my kitchen this year.
I used branches and dried some oranges.
During the day, the sunlight makes the oranges
look like stained glass.
I put them in a vintage silver ice bucket
with some freshly picked pomegranates.
I added little lights that are battery
operated all over the branches.
I glittered some old vintage silverware and cookie cutters. I tied them on the tree with some red and white gingham ribbon.

I had to add a little Paris candle to the vignette!
Wishing you all
a Whimsical Christmas!

~Kitchen Garden Inspiration and Simple & Sweet Fridays #40~

Stan and I designed two kitchen gardens
near our house, so it would be easy to harvest.
We planted different varieties of vegetables and
of course, cabbage.
It took us about 4 weeks of planning and
working on both areas.
We did all the work ourselves.
Stan added more brick and stepping stones to the area. Then added
 soil, compost and rototilled.
We're looking forward to fresh salads and vegetables everyday this winter.
I took these photos this morning.
The cabbages are doing great and
getting bigger day by day.
It's just the way we wanted it
and it looks so pretty too!
