~Paris in a Box~

I love this paper my sister Charmaine gave me for my birthday. Anything to do with Paris, love it!
I have been wanting to hide our security system box forever.
Then I remembered the Paris paper and I thought how could I use it.
I measured the area and found the bottom of a cardboard box with almost the same dimensions at Michael's. For just $3.00.
I just had to cut down the depth.

I glued down the paper with Mod Podge.
Added a couple of nails to the wall.
And then the magic happened!
Great idea to hide that ugly box and now
I get to see Paris instead!

My Dream Pumpkin & Simple & Sweet Fridays #30

One of my birthday presents was this dream sign. I placed it on my French pumpkin in the entryway. So pretty!
I made a three tier plate stand to display a fall vignette.
Each level has a different texture.
Can you just smell the cinnamon autumn candle?
Looking forward to all the wonderful scents of fall.
Going up and down the stairs was worth the exercise to open boxes of lots of beautiful decorations that bring back precious memories.
I'm sure all of you will be creating spectacular fall arrangements. I feel the magic starting!

~Parade of Pumpkins~

The pumpkins were ready to be harvested after the heat in San Diego this week.
We were lucky to have a variety of different ones this year.
I love all the colors and shapes...
They fit just right in a
wrought iron wagon we have.
This pumpkin had the prettiest stem
like a trunk of a tree.
We also have a old radio jet wagon.
I bought it for $10.
Just in time for the pumpkins.
There's more pumpkins to pick
but,
 they can wait until tomorrow.

~Bistro De Paris Plates~

I loved these Paris plates I saw at Sur La Table
and I had to have them.
The red and white checkered design
and the script was just perfect.
I love how it looks with the fall decorations up.
I felt as though I was at an European restaurant.
There's always so many choices in the stores for fall table settings.
But I do like the casual look of a burlap centerpiece.
You can never go wrong with crystal glasses.

Glass makes your table shine and the colors of your tablescape reflect that.
The colors of fall are so pretty.
The deep purples and greens.
The Johnson Bros. tureen gives it that simple classic look. It brings back so many wonderful memories of the family dinners when I was little.
The Holidays Will Be Fun...
Always on the hunt for wonderful pieces to add to the table.
Maybe some Thanksgiving dishes this year.

Joy of Life and Simple & Sweet Fridays #29

I love the french phrase
Joie de Vivre
Joy of Life
Your life is what you make it.
Family, Friends, Health, and Happiness
I have met so many wonderful
friends through blogging.
It's always fun to read about their projects and how creative they are.
It has been a journey
 I have truly enjoyed.

Hi everyone,
I just wanted all my friends to know that I already combined my Thyme for Home blog and Rooted In Thyme blog. Having two blogs was a bit much for me to keep up with so I will incorporate into one and see how you like the new version.  So I will stop posting on Thyme for Home and only post on Rooted In Thyme. Please continue following my Rooted In Thyme blog, I love all my visitors and followers. Thanks so much to everyone who has followed me on my blogging journey! I will now have more time to comment and explore everyone else’s blogs and continue to enjoy the interaction and sharing creative ideas with you all. Thank you for your endless support.

Sincerely, Jody Gabara

The site will be under construction until we are done combining the two blogs and remodeling.
Thank you for your patience!
