~One of my Favorite Stores in England~

Cath Kidston is one of my favorite stores in England.
I just love all her designs.
When we went to England last Fall,
 we stopped at her store.
I wanted to share with you some photos.
She had wonderful handbags!!

A collection of wonderful things!
It was hard not to bring everything back home with us!

These were some of my treasured souvenirs.
A key chain with her signature heart on it,
hair ties and a make-up bag.
I fell in love with these red and white mushroom
 salt and pepper shakers.
When I got home,
I missed all the wonderful things we saw
and tasted over in England.
I decided to bake some meringues.
Chocolate sprinkled on top!
Just the right light dessert.
We had so much fun in England!!

~European Adventure at Brighton Pier and Simple & Sweet Fridays~

I wanted to share our trip with you of photos at
Brighton Pier in England.
We have been so lucky with the weather on our trip.
They have the most amazing ferris wheel.
The Brighton Wheel built in October 2011.
It's original form in 1823 Brighton's first pier was the Old Chain Pier which was primarily used as a landed stage for passenger ships that sailed from Dieppe in France.
On the opening night a series of eight iron & steel arches were spectacularly illuminated by 3.000 light bulbs.
These original steel arches can still be found by the entrance to Palm Court fish & chip restaurant.

A beautiful merry-go-round hidden on the beach.
There was so much to see and we didn't want to miss anything.
It was a very fun day.

Hope you all enjoyed the photos.

~Simple Food Ideas and Simple & Sweet Fridays #128~

A simple carrot cake with pretty pinwheels
makes a dessert special for any occasion.

Tomato and Burrato Salad with fresh basil from the garden.
Fresh Biscuits
Jams from England
When our daughter, Katie, and Harry went to England,
they went to Dovecote Farm and brought us home some.
I found the recipe for the biscuits from Martha Stewart.
I used Rosemary and Dill.
I cut them fresh from the garden.
I made a simple Asparagus and Spinach Soup to go with it.

~A Homemade Meat & Cheese Platter~

~Fresh Pineapple for Dessert~
