Cottage Rose

I really don't know what kind of rose this is,
but it is beautiful in every way.
Looking at it with the morning
light steals my heart.
Each petal seems to tell a story.
Maybe a love story that never happened.
How fragile love is and how
 we should hold onto it.
In the garden there are many
stories to be told.
Always ready to be listened to.
Take a moment to enjoy it.
The conversation will be well worth it.

  1. These are gorgeous and I agree with all that you've said - each petal DOES tell a story. I was reading a little more in your blog and really have enjoyed it. My husband and I have kids in college and have been married 30 yrs in July (going to Paris to celebrate!)

    Enjoy your day!
