I've been wanting to make a carrot cake
because,
I had these cute marzipan decorated carrots.
In our garden,
the smaller carrots were ready to be picked.
Washed and cleaned
they're a good little snack.
But, back to the carrot cake.
I cheated and bought a cake mix.
We worked in the garden all weekend
and I'll show you pictures this week of our new
Kitchen Garden.
The cake was delicious.
The neighbors loved it too!
Gorgeous cake. I haven't made carrot cake in ages! xo
ReplyDeleteOh those wee marzipan carrots are too cute. Our favourite snack in the whole world is garden fresh carrots and carrot cake is a favourite dessert. I am going to have to build a raised bed for this house; we miss our carrot snacks. Nothing like a fresh carrot with a tiny bit of garden dirt left on it. TFS! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jody~ I love carrot cake. It always makes me miss my GrannyBelle...it was her favorite to make for family gatherings. Your fall displays and pumpkins are beautiful! I'm playing catch up on my blog reading and I see I missed some beauties here. :)
ReplyDeleteNothing better than Carrot Cake...speaking of box mixes, Duncan Hines has the most INCREDIBLE box carrot cake - Decadent Classic Carrot Cake, to be exact! Out of this world - Happy Monday, Jody - may your week be as bright as your darling marzipan carrots! Tanya
ReplyDeleteCarrot cake sounds delicious! And what fun to grow your own little carrots. We had a garden again this past summer, after a break of a number of years. Was fun to dig up our sweet potatoes this past week - the last of the things to dig. (And thanks for your visit last week, and for your comment left on my post "Within Us"!)
ReplyDeleteThe sweet marzipan carrots turned your cake into a work of art! I can almost smell the carrot cake baking. Yum!
ReplyDeleteThis looks so scrumtrulescent!!! Your little marzipan carrots are the cutest!
ReplyDeleteSmiles,
