~Easter Celebration~

I wanted to share some of the things we baked for Easter.
Carly found shredded Filo Dough for us to make Easter nests.
It's amazing to me what you can find on the internet.
We added candied eggs.

A simple elegant dessert.
Next time I'll try it with fruit and ice cream.
We found some organic heirloom carrots at Trader Joe's
and made some
Carrot-Thyme Soup.
Our son, Scott made fresh Sour Dough Bread.
I made individual Easter sweet breads for everyone.
A tradition my mother would always make for the holiday.
Carly and I colored eggs and placed them in the center of them.

A festive addition to the meal.
Scott had brought us artichokes from Watsonville.

For the main entree, I made
Cornish Game Hens Stuffed with Wild Rice.
It was a delicious Easter dinner.
We celebrated later with some Strawberry Daiquiris by the pool.
The weather was perfect in the 80's.
Hope you all had a
wonderful holiday with friends and family!
